Accelerated Unraveling was projected in performance as part of the Oregon Origins Project, its shifting forms scored to live music. Painted in pigments made from rusted iron ore, crushed gemstones, wildfire charcoal, and Oregon river water, the work reaches for geologic time, a scale at which the extractive accumulations of empire can be enveloped and undone. Macro forms read as cosmic events, then collapse without warning into microscopic cellular fragmentation, matter decaying into new arrangements. It is an invitation to turn toward the abundant mysteries, imagining Earth as a body birthing new beginnings and what it might mean to live in kinship with the land.
